Moving Forward

April 20, 2017

I think its very obvious now that I have been enjoying going out a lot lately. So far the weather is still bearable and I have a new found favorite activity in my neighbourhood (well, was my neighborhood but that's another story which I will share with you guys soon), cycling!

I was strolling around Al Rheem Island and all of a sudden there's these weird looking kiosks that appeared like magic! At first I wasn't sure what it was for, so I kinda ignored it. A few days after, I got super excited seeing these very cool rental bikes parked near those kiosks! The kid inside of me jumped for joy and of course tried it immediately! 😂

Its absolutely delightful! We actually had bikes but we sold them cause no one uses them anymore so this is really a good option instead of dumping your bike dangerously in the fire exits (btw, don't ever, EVER do that!) and leaving them there to rot for years.

All you have to do is to swipe your credit card, take the code and you have a bike you can use FREE for the first hour. You also have the option for a 1-day pass or 3-days pass for a small fee.

Shirt: GANT Tech Prep
Bag: Fjallraven Kanken
Shoes: Crocs

For today's look, since its a little bit warmer I of course wore a GANT Tech Prep shirt! Yes friends the Tech Prep shirts are not only buttoned down shirts they also have Polo Shirts with the same features! They are of course very comfortable and is really fit for guys with very active lifestyles.

Another thing I'm super exited about are these Crocs Sneakers! I was honestly surprised that they have expanded their options and you all know that I love sneakers so when I saw these I immediately got them, no questions asked.

The Crocs Kinsale Pacer is obviously very comfortable and light which is good for a lot of walking, outdoor activities, and of course casual bike riding.

Finally, I wouldn't go bike riding without a bag so I brought in a classic Fjallraven Kanen. I saw this bag going around the Instagram world so I recently purchased one. To be honest, when I got this, I wasn't that impressed cause of the size (bought it online in ASOS) but it grew into me and I actually quite like it now especially if I'm not really going to bring a lot of stuff and I need a bag to dump all my basic gears and necessities.

What I do like about it is that its both a backpack and a handbag in one.

That concludes today's style journal. Hope you guys liked it and if you're living in Abu Dhabi don't forget to stop by and enjoy a bike ride around the Al Rheem Island area. 😊
